1. CONDITION ASSESSMENT

When a vending machine arrives at our site, before storing it, we assess its condition that we log and document with photos. The head of the workshop and a technician performs the condition assessment in accordance with the following:

OBSERVATION

We examine the external aesthetical condition of the vending machine and determine if there is any damage, corrosion, defects (footing cover element, door front decorating elements etc.).
We examine the internal condition of the machine in accordance with the attached list of components and the condition of structural elements, and we determine if there are any defects.

MAIN STRUCTURAL UNITS

  1. WATER SYSTEM (inlet valve, water filter, dispense valve, hot water boiler and/or espresso boiler, outlet valves, ...
  2. INGREDIENT DISPENSE AND SUPPORT SYSTEM (ingredient dispense motors, canisters)
  3. MIXING SYSTEM (whipper motors, mixing bowls and other components)
  4. EXTRACT SYSTEM (extract fan)
  5. FRESHBREW UNIT (dispense motor, filter)*
  6. ESPRESSO UNIT (grinder, brewer unit)*
  7. SUGAR DISPENSE MODULE (dispense motor, sugar dispense block) *
  8. DISPENSE HEAD UNIT (dispense head motor and dispense head block, micro switch)
  9. CUP DROP UNIT (motor and gearbox module, solenoid, micro switches)
  10. POWER SUPPLY UNIT AND MPU BOARD (controller board PSU loom, display, transformer, selection panel)

* depending on type

CHECKING OPERABILITY

Before disassembling the vending machine, we make sure that

it is operable by checking the operability of the main structural
elements after connecting it onto the water system and under voltage.

  • filling the water system of the vending machine
  • setting the cup stack assembly in position, checking the cup dispensing
  • checking the coffee grinding, (in case of ES version)
  • checking the sugar dispensing, (in case of ES version)
  • checking the coffee brewer process, (in case of ES and FB version)
  • checking the instant ingredient dispensing,
  • checking the operation of the mixing systems,
  • checking the water dispensing,
  • checking the operation of the product selection buttons,
  • checking the programming and service modes.

In case of defects, we determine the fault and record it.

2. DISASSEMBLY PROCESS

  • When disassembling, we attach identification labels to the main structural units so that the units of the original construction could be placed back to each vending machine when assembling.
  • We disassemble vending machines selectively according to different material quality. (metal, plastic, rubber).

3. REFURBISHMENT PROCESS

3.1. AESTHETICAL REFURBISHMENT

METAL STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS

  • Elements are cleaned.
  • Surface damage is repaired.
  • Rust spots are repaired.
  • Surface treated on the cabinet and the door unit of the vending machine by electrostatic powder coating technology (PULVERLACK quality, in colours of RAL range.)

PLASTIC STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS*

  • Elements are cleaned.
  • Surface damage is repaired.
  • Outer design elements are painted. (with MILESI environmentally-friendly water-based paint of 2 components in colours of RAL range.)

*if the NFD® kit is used, it is unnecessary to refurbish the plastic structural elements because they will not be fitted back on to the vending machine.

3.2. TECHNICAL REFURBISHMENT

During the technical refurbishment, we replace the damaged and/or faulty components with original factory-produced or remanufactured components which are identical with them in quality.

We offer 3 different kinds of component
packages for our refurbishment programme:

  • MINIMAL
    (components marked yellow)
  • BASIC
    (components marked yellow+red)
  • EXTRA
    (components marked yellow+red+blue)

You can choose from this selection what you require. (The attachment to the detailed quotation lists what you can find in the component packages.) The contents of the packages can be altered according to individual requirements and it is also viable to use the components provided by the customer.

4. REASSEMBLY  PROCESS

Having been tested and assembled, the cleaned and serviced structural elements for each unit are built into the vending machine cabinet.

After reassembling them, the machines are put into operation and the operation of the
units is checked according to the following:

  • filling the water system of the vending machine
  • setting the cup stack assembly in position, checking the cup dispensing
  • checking the coffee grinding, (in case of ES version)
  • checking the sugar dispensing, (in case of ES version)
  • checking the coffee brewer process, (in case of ES and FB version)
  • checking the instant ingredient dispensing,
  • checking the operation of the mixing systems,
  • checking the water dispensing,
  • checking the operation of the product selection buttons,
  • checking the programming and service modes.

Standard dosage parameters are set in the controlling panel of the vending machine.

5. CHECKING PROCESS

After it is put into operation, we check the operability of the vending machine under constant voltage and water pressure for 24 hours by running beverage purchase programmes in accordance with the following aspects. We check:

  • the heating time and the constancy in the temperature of the dispensed drinks,
  • the experienced water loss (in case of ES version via the safety valve),
  • the constancy in the water quantity of the dispensed drinks,
  • the sealing of the water system,
  • the communication with the payment system,
  • if the appropriate unit operates in an appropriate order and position in the selected programme.

At the end of the checking process, we conduct an electrical inspection with special instruments in accordance with the relevant regulations in case of each vending machine and a ‘COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATE’ is issued based on this.

6. DECORATION, PACKAGING, SHIPPING

As an optional element to our programme, we offer to produce and place on several kinds of product labels, informative signs and other plastic stickers ordered in accordance with tailored branded design.

Afterwards the vending machines are packaged in the following way:

  • a layer of shrink-wrap is placed directly onto the machine,
  • a paper edge protector is placed on the edges of the four sides which is fixed with adhesive tape onto the shrink-wrap,
  • then min. two layers of shrink-wrap is placed and for special request, a bubble-wrap can also be added.

If required, we can undertake to organize and perform tasks in connection with the transportation of the vending machines by employing a subcontractor.
